During the past few years we all have had the privilege of partnering together with Isaac Amol in support of the children and people of Southern Sudan. Reports from those who were recently in Sudan tell us that the local people in the Wanyok area are very appreciative and the wells and school buildings are in use with more than 500 children in attendance daily. The local government is now assuming responsibility for the support of the school and the teachers as well and the World Food Program is taking over the daily provision of food for the kids. At the same time, Isaac is starting to work with the local government in the Aweil area and there is potential for him to have a positive impact there prior to the critical 2011 election.
With these new developments, support from all of us here in the United States will not be needed and we will be closing out the Children of Southern Sudan. If you have supported this cause...we thank you. Please know that you have been an amazing blessing. Please continue to pray for the people of Southern Sudan.
